Secondary Crash Involving Tow Truck Driver And Patrol Vehicle On Westbound I-70 Milepost 158
The tow truck driver is in stable condition at a Denver hospital. The State Trooper did sustain non life-threatening injuries in the crash and is recovering. The driver in the Jeep that struck the patrol car was a 27 year old woman from Gypsum. She has been charged with with careless driving causing injury to a vulnerable road user and failure to yield the right-of-way to stationary emergency vehicle.
The driver of the Ford F-250 in the initial crash was a 27 year old woman from New Castle. She was arrested for DUI, careless driving, Failed to yield right-of-way to stationary tow truck, and no proof of insurance.
