First Annual St. Peter’s Our Lady of Guadalupe Royalty Celebration Honors Tradition, Community, and Unity


Description: The First Annual St. Peter’s Our Lady of Guadalupe Royalty Celebration brought the community together to honor tradition, culture, and unity. Coordinated by Anna Romero, Sally Rodriguez, and special assistant Rose Trujillo, the event featured three royalty crownings: Tiny Tot (princess Katrina Padilla-Rocha and prince Santiago Garcia), Prince (Izzac Ortiz-Chavarria), Princess (Xandria Gonzalez), and Queen (Emica Garcia).

Event Coordinators- Anna Romero, Sally Rodriguez and Special assistant Rose Trujillo.

There were Three Royalty Categories: Tiny Tot-princess and prince, Prince-princess and Queen-King.

Tiny tot princess- Katrina Padilla-Rocha

Tiny tot prince- Santiago Garcia

Prince- Izzac Ortiz - Chavarria

Princess- Xandria Gonzalez 

Queen- Emica Garcia 

The Mariachi Choir - a local group from La Junta and Rocky ford. 

Matachine Dancers - group of dancers who perform a ritual dance that originated in Spain and Central Mexico. 

A special thank you to Zeke and Stacy Ayala - SECO News, for the coverage in bringing our special celebration to the community.

The kitchen ladies for all their hard work in preparing a delicious meal for our event- Brenda Ochoa, Rita Medina, Gloria Aragon, Gloria Jaramillo, Clara Aragon,  Angie Jaramillo Peggy Sandoval and Kenny Rodriguez.

The Our Lady of Guadalupe Society- President- Juana Rodriquez, Josefina Medina, Erma Ramos, and Anna Romero.

A special thank you to Father Joesph Lawrence an instrumental part of the beginning the society, Father Muthu for his help and his support.

To all those who donated time and food to make our celebration a true success!
