Stella Martin Obituary

Description: Stella Martin Obituary... Our Heartfelt Condolences To Her Loved Ones...

Stella Martin

August 3, 1938 – Rocky Ford Colorado

January 3, 2025 – Bullhead City, AZ

Our beautiful mother and grandmother left this world to join her loved ones who went before her.  While we are shattered, we know that she will begin a new life free of pain and the other challenges she faced later in life.

She left this world peacefully surrounded by her loved ones and was as beautiful in death as she was in life.

Stella is preceded in death by her husband, Don Martin, parents, Edward and Isabel Garcia, brother Alfred Garcia, sister Jeannette Olguin and her beloved daughter, Teryn Benavidez.

She is survived by her adoring children, Theresa and Talley (Edward) Benavidez and Tiana Young.  9 loving grandchildren and 15 adoring great grandchildren and 2 great-great grandchildren.

Stella’s joy came from being with her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren and was hoping to meet her great-great grandchildren. She loved deeply and unconditionally, and you always knew how much she loved you. She had a one-of-a-kind personality that resulted in many memorable family moments. She was the best of friends and taught each of us the importance of loving and caring for others.

She spent most of her life in the Arkansas Valley until, for health reasons, we moved her to California. Her career was spent in the dental field working for Drs. Don Williams, RG Herrell, David Lacy and David Trujillo. She loved her career and all the people she met in the dental office.

She is now enjoying the love of her parents, more conversations with her sister (they talked every day) and ready to call the play-by-play for any and all Bronco games with our sister Teryn.

Rest in heavenly peace our beautiful angel, you will be missed beyond words.

A celebration of life will be held in San Diego,(date to be determined), followed by a catholic mass and a celebration of life in the spring in La Junta.
