Obituary

Cruz Rangel of La Junta, Colorado, peacefully entered into rest in her La Junta home, January 6, 2025. She was surrounded by her loving family. Cruz was born July 15, 1943, in La Junta, Colorado to Sylvia and Domingo Rangel. She was 81 years of age.

Cruz is survived by her one Daughter, Brenda Rangel of La Junta, grandchildren, Danae Rangel of La Junta, Ryanna Rangel of La Junta, Ryan Rangel of La Junta, Angelica Muniz of La Junta, Matthew Muniz of La Junta, great grandchildren, Lorenzo, Leon, Lysius, LaRayah, Lazariah, Ilysah, Jocelyn, Katrinah, Luciannah, Avyuhn, Milliannah, Anniyah, Jocias, Natthias, Diamond, Jacelyn, Jeremiah, sisters, Sally Ortega, Stella (Federico) Figueroa, Sarah Rangel, Veronica Rangel, brother in-law, Karl Grasmick, Sister in-laws, Pauline Rangel, Dee Rangel, numerous nieces and nephews.

She is preceded in death by her parents, Sylvia and Domingo Rangel, sister, Delfa Marinelarena, brothers, Robert Rangel, George Rangel, Tony Rangel, Benny Rangel, Johnny Rangel, Anthony Rangel, Robert Rangel, nephews, Tino Ortega, Steven Ortega, Denny Rangel and George Rangel.

Cruz enjoyed her plants and going to Walmart where she was able to see many friends. She also enjoyed going for walks, her oldies, her rings, being with her family and especially her grandchildren. She also liked her Soap Operas, telling stories and sharing stories from her childhood. She kept up with all the dance crazes and loved to do the Twist with the grandchildren. She was a special fun-loving happy person and she was loved by all.
