Primary Election Ballots will be sent out to all active registered electors during the week of June 8-12, 2026 for the June 30, 2026 Primary Election.

DEMOCRATIC and REPUBLICAN Party Voters

• You will have Primary ballot content for Federal, State and Local candidates, listed on your ballot.

UNAFFILIATED Voters

• You will automatically receive two ballots in your packet, one Democratic ballot and one Republican ballot if you have an active voter registration status.

• Choose ONLY ONE of those ballots to vote and discard the ballot that you do not fill out.

• Put your ONE voted ballot inside the secrecy sleeve and place it all inside the return envelope.

Returning both voted ballots will disqualify your vote.

• Sign the backside of your return envelope in order for your ballot to count.

• Your choice of ballot to vote in this election will not affiliate you with that political party. However, it will be public record for which party ballot you voted but not who you voted for.

LIBERTARIAN Party Voters

• Libertarian party voters will automatically receive a ballot in the mail if you have an active voter registration status for State Libertarian candidates only. Libertarian Party is considered a minor political party in Colorado.

UNITY Party Voters

• Unity party voters will automatically receive a ballot in the mail if you have an active voter registration status for State Unity candidates only. Unity party affiliation is NOT the same as being Unaffiliated.

We encourage you to return your voted ballot as soon as possible to 301 S. Main St., Ste. 210, Lamar, CO 81052 or use the secure ballot drop box located in the parking lot on the east side of the county courthouse building, which is open 24/7.

Prowers County Clerk’s Office Election Department will be open Saturday, June 27, 2026 from 8 a.m. to 12 p.m. for ballot drop off, replacement ballots, or to register to vote.
