Obituary
Trudy Anne Koehn, 72 years young, peacefully passed on January 8, 2026.
A long-time resident of Baca County, Colorado, Trudy was a beloved teacher, mother, mentor, friend, and farmer. She devoted nearly 40 years to teaching, shaping the lives of hundreds of kindergarten, first- and second-grade students. Over the decades, she had the rare joy of teaching multiple generations of the same families, leaving a lasting imprint on her community that spanned lifetimes. Her face lit up any time she spoke about her students, and it was clear how deeply they loved her in return.
She lived a life rooted in hard work, generosity, and quiet strength, always giving more than she asked for in return. Whether in the classroom, on the farm, or simply in conversation, Trudy had a gift for teaching—not just lessons, but values, compassion, and resilience.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Helen and Junior Christiansen, and her brothers, Ray Don Christiansen and Kyle Christiansen.
She is survived by her children, Kenzie Andino and Bric Koehn, who were the center of her world. She also leaves behind her sisters, Donna Christiansen and Connie Spelts, as well as many cherished nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Trudy will be remembered for her steadfast love, her wisdom, and the countless lives she shaped through her kindness and guidance. Her legacy lives on in those she taught, nurtured, and loved.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered.
Services Held on February 28, 2026 at 2:00 PM at the Pritchett School Auditorium. Dykes Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
