Trailer Fire Quickly Contained Near Spruce Avenue and Ewers Avenue; Crews Prevent Garage Damage

Today at approximately 9:15am we were paged to the area of Spruce Avenue and Ewers Avenue on a report of a trailer fire.

Upon arrival a camper trailer was on fire. Fire crews immediatley began initial attack on the camper fire.

During this time the fire was getting dangerously close to the garage. Fire crews worked swiftly on exposure control and the primary fire.

Power lines were damaged and arcing above main fire. Black Hills Energy was requested and they responded immediately to our location and shutdown the electrical hazard.

OCSO and RFPD assisted in traffic control. The fire was quickly extinguished with minimal exposure damage. Fire crews cleared scene at approximately 10:30am. Black Hills Energy remained on scene to get electricity back online.
