Mobile Home Structure Fire on South 12th Street Safely Extinguished by Lamar & Prowers Fire

Lamar Fire Responds to Working Mobile Home Fire on South 12th Street
Last night at 1942 Lamar Fire was dispatched to the 300 Blk of S 12th for a reported structure fire. Engine 6 arrived on scene and found a mobile home that had heavy fire showing from sides Bravo, Charlie, and Delta.

Engine 6 requested a second page for Lamar Fire as well as Prowers Rural for a working structure fire. Engine 6 established command and laid 5” supply line to side Alpha. Engine 6 put over the radio that the attack would be defensive initially. Engine 6 deployed a 2.5” pre-connect to the Delta side to begin a defensive attack.
Truck 1, Engine 5, Recuse 1, and Med 3 arrived on scene and crews were divided between the 2.5” and getting ready to make entry into the home. Crews on scene knocked the fire down and an entry crew deployed the 1.75” into the house.
The interior crew did a primary search with nothing found. A second crew made entry and did a secondary search again with nothing found.
The fire was extinguished and the crews completed overhaul. After overhaul was completed all crews were returned to service.
