Bent County Sheriff’s Office Safely Arrests Barricaded Suspect
On January 11, 2026, deputies with the Bent County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a barricaded suspect believed to be in possession of incendiary devices.
Upon arrival, deputies established a secure perimeter and safely evacuated nearby residences as a precaution. Through coordinated efforts, deputies were able to take the suspect into custody without incident.

Bent County Sheriff’s Deputies booked 40 year-old Grant Dorman into the Bent County Jail at 5:14 PM on Jan. 11, 2026.
The scene was subsequently rendered safe with the assistance of the Pueblo Bomb Squad. There is no ongoing threat to the public.
The Bent County Sheriff’s Office would like to thank the public for their cooperation and the Pueblo Bomb Squad for their assistance during this incident.
