Obituary

Richard Baca, entered into rest on December 11, 2025, in Rocky Ford, Colorado. Born on December 4, 1984, in Rocky Ford, he was 41 years of age. Richard spent his life deeply connected to his family and community. He was the loving father of Dameon Baca, Emilianna Gallegos, Alexia Baca, Donovan Baca, Jacelynn Baca, (Vincent Valdez), Ana’leah Marinelarena, and Azula Baca. His spirit will continue to live on through parents, Yvonne Cruz, Georginia Baca and Manuel Baca III, siblings, June Gallegos (Anthony Jimenez), Manuel Baca, Lisa Herrera, Jennifer Weaver, and many nephews, nieces and cousins.

Richard was preceded in death by his beloved sister April Baca, grandmother Dora Rangel, grandfather Joe Rangel, and cousin Armando Reyes. He enjoyed learning new things, especially if it meant helping others. Richard's faith was important to him, and he cherished time spent with his children. He will be remembered for his kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for his family and friends.

Richard had a passion for creativity and self-expression, particularly through his love of drawing and graffiti art. He was known for his strong work ethic, holding positions at Loaf N Jug, Lewis Nut and Bolt, The Onion Graders, and Mission Foods. His dedication to his work and his willingness to help others earned him the respect and admiration of all who knew him.

Above all, Richard valued time spent with his children and family. His legacy of love, compassion, and generosity will continue to inspire those he leaves behind. He will be deeply missed, but his memory will live on in the hearts of everyone who knew and loved him.

Services Held on Friday, January 2, 2026 at 10:00 AM at the First Christian Church of Rocky Ford.
