Mark Urban Gutierrez of La Junta, Colorado, entered into rest, in his home, November 19, 2025.

He was born to Bernadine and Ray Gutierrez, November 4, 1962, in Denver, Colorado. He was 63 years of age.

Mark is survived by his wife, Catherine Martinez of La Junta, Colorado, daughter, Athena Kendrick of Aguilar, Colorado, step-son, Steven Martinez of La Junta, Colorado, brothers, Ronnie (Ginger) Gutierrez of Phoenix, Arizona, Anthony Gutierrez of Pueblo, Colorado, sister, Michelle (Debbie) Gutierrez, and several nieces and nephews.

Mark worked in construction throughout his life. He was passionate about sports, cheering for the Denver Nuggets, Denver Broncos, and any UFC fight that aired on television. Those who knew Mark remember him as a wonderful man with a great heart, always ready to lend a helping hand—he truly would give the shirt off his back. His sense of humor and quick wit brought laughter to those around him, and he embraced a simple, fulfilling life.

Mark’s presence will be deeply missed by all who were fortunate enough to know him.
