Arrest Made Following High-Speed Pursuit; Narcotics Recovered

On November 27, 2025, the Otero County Sheriff’s Office arrested Christopher Crowder after he fled from a traffic stop in the Town of Swink, leading deputies on a high-speed pursuit through multiple communities, reaching speeds in excess of 100 miles per hour.

Deputies successfully brought the vehicle to a stop near mile marker 359 on U.S. Highway 50 using a controlled boxing-in technique.

A subsequent search of the vehicle resulted in the discovery of suspected fentanyl pills, methamphetamine, and drug paraphernalia.

Crowder was taken into custody without incident and transported to the Otero County Detention Facility.
