Otero College Foundation Calls on Community Support for Students Ahead of Colorado Gives Day

The Otero College Foundation is calling on alumni, community members, and supporters across the region to stand behind students as Colorado Gives Day approaches. This annual statewide day of giving provides vital support to nonprofits across Colorado, and for Otero College, community generosity plays a critical role in ensuring every student has the opportunity to succeed.

“Even small gifts create big opportunities,” said Dillon Martin, Foundation Director. “Many of our students are juggling work, family, and school. When the community comes together, even with $10 or $25 gifts, it creates immediate impact. The strength of Otero College has always been its people, and this campaign is about uniting behind our students.”

The Foundation’s focus this year is on increasing the number of donors, not the dollar amount raised. Gifts support student scholarships, emergency needs, academic programs, and campus initiatives that directly strengthen the student experience.

All donations made online now through December 9 count toward Colorado Gives Day and the $1 million+ Incentive Fund. It’s simple, if we raise 5% of the total funds raised, we earn 5% of the 1 million incentive fund.

Colorado Gives Day Thank-You Raffle

To celebrate community participation, every donor who gives through Colorado Gives Day will be entered into a drawing for one of three thank-you prizes. Winners will be announced following the close of the giving campaign.
