Henry Ashida Injured at Homecoming Game; Community Launches Support Fund
87-year-ol Henry Ashida suffered serious injuries including a bruised lung when a play during Crowley County's homecoming game went out-of-bounds. Ashida has spent decades capturing memorable on-field moments for Crowley County as a sports photographer. He's spent more than three weeks in the hospital and nursing home as a result of the injuries sustained in this incident.
"Henry now faces a long and difficult road to recovery. He needs significant home modifications and ongoing care before he can return to living independently," Whitney Shiflett wrote on GoFundMe. "Unfortunately, insurance is not covering all the costs, and finding the right support has been a struggle."
