Obituary

Jeanne Marie McAllister, 72, of Colorado Springs, CO, formerly of La Junta, CO, passed away Saturday, October 11, 2025 in Colorado Springs. She was born Monday, March 21, 1953 in La Junta to Charles Bernard “Barney” and Ruth Mary (Dick) Malott.

Jeanne is survived by her son Brian (Kristin) McAllister of Colorado Springs, CO; granddaughter Claire McAllister of Lincoln, NE; and siblings Emily White of Casa Grande, AZ and Ted (Debbie) Malott of La Junta, CO. Numerous nieces, nephews and other family also survive as well as her special dog Teagan. She is preceded in death by her parents, brother-in-law Richard “Rick” White, and her beloved dog Avery.

Graveside Service will be held Saturday, November 8, 2025 at 9:30 a.m. at Valley View Cemetery in Rocky Ford, CO.

Family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the National Mill Dog Rescue in Peyton, CO.
