Obituary
Jacqueline (Jacque) Kae (Boren) Levin was born in Seibert, Colorado to Edith (Crum) and Earl Boren on October 20th, 1936. Jacque was the youngest of 4 children. She had one brother, Jim and two sisters, Bonny and Rogene. Jacque grew up in Seibert and attended grade school and high school there. She graduated high school as the Valedictorian of the class of 1954.
Jacque married her high school sweetheart, Melvin, on August 20th 1954. The Levins began their lives together in Colorado Springs. Jacque attended Blair Business College and received her degree in business. While in Springs, Melvin worked at a body shop and Jacque was the bookkeeper. Melvin and Jacque welcomed three children, Cheryll Ann and Cathy Sue and a son, Timothy Earl. The Levins moved back to Seibert in 1959. Jacque stayed at home with the children until she was hired later by Seibert CO-OP where she worked for around 20 years as their bookkeeper. After retiring, the couple had a furniture restoration business.
Melvin and Jacque loved to travel and camp and spend time with family and friends. They took numerous trips to the mountains over the years and multiple vacations. In fact, they celebrated their 40th wedding anniversary on a camping trip. They also loved to take the grandkids on small trips to explore Colorado. Jacque was always willing to try anything including riding roller coasters, parasailing, or even taking a turn on the grandkids’ slip and slide. She also loved her games and her puzzles.
Jacque loved her family and spoiled all her grandkids and continued the tradition with the great grandkids. She had great snacks and some of the best ice cream bars ever!
Jacque also displayed her loving personality by helping and taking care of the “older” residents of Seibert. After the passing of Melvin, she took a job driving the “Outback Express” to continue to serve the community and also worked for hospice. She was always active in her church and even became an ordained minister.
Jacque entered the Kingdom of Heaven with her granddaughter, Fallon, by her side on August 1, 2025 in Hugo, Colorado.
Jacque was preceded in death by her husband, Melvin; her parents, Edith and Earl Boren; brother, Jim Boren (Erma); sister, Rogene Colby (Bill Livingston and Lawerence Colby); Bonny Hughes (Clifford). She is survived by her children, Cheryll (Keith) Einspahr; Cathy Levin; Tim (Sherry) Levin.
