Obituary
Tony Madrid, 66, of La Junta, Colorado peacefully passed away Monday, July 7, 2025, at Joni Fair Hospice House in Pueblo, Colorado surrounded by his loving family. He was born July 5, 1959, in La Junta to Florencio & Maria (Maez) Madrid.
Tony is survived by his wife of 44 years, Rosalie Annette Madrid of the La Junta home; children, Jennifer Madrid of La Junta, CO; Jessica Madrid of Castle Rock, CO; Justine Madrid of La Junta, CO; and Jordyn (Orlando Sanchez) Madrid of La Junta, CO; grandson, Edward Anthony Sanchez; parents, Florencio & Maria Madrid of La Junta, CO; sister, Elizabeth “Becky” (Tal) Morton of Spring, TX; numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, cousins, and extended family members also survive.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents; his mother & father-in-law, Joe A. & Eloisa Romero; and his grand-cats & grand-dog, Cinnamon.Memorial Service will be held Thursday, July 24, 2025, at Peacock Memorial Chapel in La Junta, Colorado with Father Joseph Matitu of Our Lady of Guadalupe/St. Patrick Parish officiating, along with Joe Romero.
