Cast Your Vote, Colorado!

12th Annual National “Best Looking Cruiser” Contest

(COLO) – The Colorado State Patrol has always taken pride in the vehicles they use while fulfilling their mission to save lives across Colorado, and now they are asking for the community’s help in showcasing one of their cruisers across the country. Each year, the American Association of State Troopers (AAST) holds the "Best Looking Cruiser" contest, setting the stage for a friendly competition between the 50 state police agencies to see who will land in a calendar for the following year. Voting has begun and will run through Friday, July 11, 2025, at 3:00 PM MST.

"Not only are our vehicles our offices, but they are also a source of distinction and embody what it means to be in Colorado by being both rugged and beautiful," says Colonel Matthew C Packard, Chief of the Colorado State Patrol. “We missed making it into the calendar last year, so we’re asking for your help by casting your online vote.”

To cast your vote in the “2025 Best Looking Cruiser” contest, you can access the website link through the American Association of State Troopers’ (AAST) website (www.statetroopers.org) or go directly to the survey through this link. Click the link provided and scroll through the state agency photos to find your favorite cruiser, which we hope is Colorado!

To cast your vote, scroll through the images and at the bottom of the page, select your State from the drop-down menu. You will also have to answer the simple CAPTCHA question as a requirement to submit the vote. Agency rankings will be posted on the Facebook page daily.

To make it easier for you to make the BEST choice with your vote, Colorado’s photo submission is shared below. This year’s photo features Gunner, a member of our Executive Security Branch. Gunner has been specially trained in the detection of explosives, firearms, and shell casings. He joined the Patrol in August of 2024.  You can vote for this image now.

The winner will be presented with the “Best Looking Cruiser Award” and featured on the cover of the AAST’s “America’s Best Looking Trooper Cruisers 2026 Wall Calendar.” The calendars will be available for purchase at www.statetroopers.org beginning October 1, 2025.

Calendar sales will benefit the American Association of State Troopers Foundation, which provides educational scholarships to dependents of member troopers.
