Structure Fire Contained at 622 Smithland; 3 Juveniles Taken to ER as Precaution After Accidental Blaze

At approx 315pm today, we responded to a reported structure fire at 622 Smithland. Upon arrival of Eng 1 and Truck 1, moderate smoke and flames could be seen from a 2nd story window on the North side of the house.

All occupants were out of the house. A quick aggressive offensive attack was made to knock the fire down in a bathroom. Fire damage was contained to that room. Lite smoke on the first floor and moderate on the second floor.

Overhaul began and ventilation completed. Crews looked for extension of fire in the wall finding none.

3 juveniles were transported for precaution to the ER since they were inside the house when the fire started. The cause of the fire was accidental.

DFPC Eng 34 assisted with the incident as well.
