Obituary

Richard Duane Shields of Fowler passed away at his home on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at the age of 65. Rich was born in Rocky Ford to Moses and Lois Shields. He grew up in Fowler and graduated from Fowler High School. Rich joined the Navy. After the Navy Rich returned back to Fowler and raised his family. He enjoyed riding his Harley with his wife Marla, working on his classic cars, listening to loud rock music, and spending time with family.

Rich is survived by his 3 children: Gavin Shields of CA, Autumn Shields of Colorado Springs, Moriah Shields of Colorado Springs, 2 step-children: Chris Watts of WY, Erica Mason of Fowler, 8 grandchildren: Lexie, Luke, Neah, Kaleb, Payton, Margo, Olive, Lake, great-grandchild: Hudson 2 sisters: Virginia Shields of Pueblo, Diane May of Pueblo. He was preceded in death by his wife Marla, and his parents.

Services Held on Monday, July 14th, 2025 at 11:00am at West Assembly of God at 406 W. Eugene Ave. in Fowler, Colorado 81039. Bellwood Ustick Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
