Video highlights trooper’s response and tactical stop; investigation ongoing

The Colorado State Patrol is releasing the following Patrol cruiser dash-cam footage to raise awareness about the actions taken on June 29, 2025. This Patrol cruiser dash camera footage was taken by a trooper traveling eastbound on Highway 36 and captures a recent incident involving the Colorado State Patrol and a hit-and-run driver.

At the request of the Adams County District Attorney’s Office, no further details will be released at this time to protect the integrity of the ongoing investigation and any future legal proceedings.

In summary, the dash-cam video shows a trooper responding to a crash that involved a Colorado State Patrol vehicle. The suspect vehicle, a black Toyota Camry, is seen actively fleeing the scene, and the trooper follows this vehicle. Shortly after, this same trooper performs a Tactical Vehicle Intervention (TVI), which is defined as the forced rotational stop of a non-compliant suspect’s vehicle, in order to apprehend the suspect.
