Obituary

A celebration of life for longtime Lamar resident, Fred Neuhold Jr. will be held on Thursday, July 03, 2025 at 10:00AM at the Peacock Family Chapel with Jeff Procter officiating. Interment will follow at the Hillside Cemetery in Granada, Colorado.

Visitation for Fred will be held from 4:00PM until 6:00PM on Wednesday, July 2, 2025 at the Peacock Family Chapel.

Fred was born on July 19, 1935 at Baca County, Colorado to Fred Albert and Cleo Belle (Lawrence) Neuhold Sr and passed away on June 28, 2025 at his home in Lamar with his family by his side at the age of 89.

He is preceded in death by his first wife Ruth Neuhold, his parents and his brother Alfred Neuhold and two infant siblings Lawrence and Anna May Neuhold.

Fred is survived by his wife Doris Pierce-Neuhold of the family home in Lamar, CO, children Michael (Brenda) Neuhold of Hale Center, TX, Lisa (Ronny) Farmer of Lamar, CO, Fred (Laura) Neuhold of Lamar, CO and Monica (Jeff) Procter of Freona, TX, grandchildren Corey (Kari) Neuhold, Grant (Stephanie) Neuhold, Zachary McCullough, Daniel McCullough, Taylor McCullough, Freddy (Angel) Neuhold, Larry Neuhold, Sari Neuhold, Elaina Procter, Timothy Berndt, Samuel Berndt, Daisy Berndt and Andrew Gillis. He is also survived by his great-grandchildren Carter, Cooper, Kane, Eisley, Wren, Kaia, Lennon and Freddy, siblings Helen Rowe, Dan (Vickie) Neuhold, Joe (Linda) Neuhold, Alice Pomroy and Henry Neuhold as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, other family and a host of friends.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Zambia Mission Fund either direct at P.O. Box 3393, Abilene, TX 79604-3393 and/or Lamar Area Hospice either direct or in care of the Peacock Funeral Home Office.
