Lamar Woman Arrested After Fleeing Into Canal

K-9 Taco Assists in Escondido Park Incident

On 06/20/2025 Officers responded to Escondido Park regarding a disturbance involving a female screaming and partially dressed.

The female ran from the area upon officer's arrival and was located a short time later. The female party jumped into the N. Canal and continued to flee from officers.

A short time later, officers along with the assistance of K-9 Taco located and took the female into custody.

The female who was identified as Lamar resident, Mariah Torres Caldwell, was then transported to the Prowers County Jail on a $500.00 PR bond and a $750.00 bond with additional charges of obstruction and resisting arrest.

All subjects are presumed innocent until proven guilty in a court of law.
