Richard worked as a plumber for Taylor Plumbing.  He was a perfectionist at his craft and was known for his dedication in providing the best service to his customers.  He retired from the Plumbers and Pipefitters Union Local 525.  Richard also was employed by the City of Lamar at the municipal airport.  While living in Las Vegas, Richard volunteered as a Boy Scout leader, instilling the values of the Scout Oath and Law in all those he mentored.  Richard cherished the time spent on his hobby farm, whether it be tending to work that needed to be done or giving joyrides to his grandchildren on his tractor.  Richard and his wife Julie were passionate advocates and therapeutic leaders for foster children at Kids Crossing.  Their dedication and involvement with foster care created a positive impact for countless children in the foster care system.  Richard’s greatest joy was his family, especially his children and grandchildren.  He embraced his role as a husband, father, and grandfather and will be missed immensely by all that knew him.
