Springfield Volunteer Fire Department Reports on Structure Fire
At approximately 11:06 pm on June 3, 2025 SVFD was paged to a Structure Fire in the 300 Block of West 11th Avenue in Springfield, Colorado.
Upon arrival, responders found that no individuals were inside the home at the time of the fire. When conditions allowed, crews entered the residence and firefighting efforts began right away, and the blaze was brought under control.
At this point, investigators do not believe the fire involved any criminal activity.
Springfield Police Report Structure Fire in the 300 Block of West 11th Avenue
On May 22, 2025, at approximately 11:03 PM, emergency responders were dispatched to a reported structure fire in the 300 block of West 11th Avenue in Springfield, Colorado.
Personnel from the Springfield Police Department, Baca County Sheriff’s Office, Springfield Fire Department, and Springfield EMS responded to the scene. Upon arrival, responders determined that the residence was unoccupied by people at the time of the fire. It was reported that numerous pets were believed to be inside.
Responders made entry where it was safe to do so and were able to rescue one animal from the residence. Fire suppression efforts began immediately, and the fire was successfully brought under control.
At this time, investigators do not suspect any criminal activity related to the fire.
