Obituary
In Loving Memory of Sandra Lee Martinez
“Forever in our hearts.”
Sandra Lee Martinez, 63, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by her loved ones, on May 1, 2025, in Pueblo, Colorado.
She was born in La Junta, Colorado, and raised in Garden City, Kansas. She later made her home in Pueblo, Colorado, where she found peace and inspiration in the beauty of the mountains, which were sacred to her.
She was a loving mother, daughter, sister, grandmother, and great-grandmother who cherished her family above all else. Known for her warmth and hospitality, Sandra made everyone feel welcome in her home. She had a passion for traveling, a love of cooking and crafting, and was an avid bargain shopper—always finding treasures and picking up something special for everyone she loved. Sandra loved Jesus, and her faith was strong, guiding her through life’s joys and challenges. She was also the biggest Denver Broncos fan, proudly cheering them on through every season.
Sandra was a true fighter who faced every challenge life threw her way with remarkable strength and resilience. She never gave up, battling bravely until her body could no longer keep up with her incredible spirit.
She is survived by her mother, Jovita Soto (Lalo), her siblings, Debbie Rojas, Rudy Martinez, (Betty) Mattie Martinez, Gary Martinez (Tammy), and Ladonna Gallegos, and Miko Sisk; her children, Christy Garza, Stephanie Saucedo (Conrad), Mario Garza (Jackie), and Orlando Garza (Bianey); 13 beloved grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; and many nieces and nephews.
She was preceded in death by her father, Archie Martinez and her nephew, Julian Gallegos.
A memorial service to celebrate Sandra’s life will be held at Fellowship of the Rockies Church 3892 W. Northern Ave., Pueblo, CO on Friday, May 16 at 11:30 AM.
Sandra will be deeply missed by all who knew and loved her.
