Water Leak Triggers False Fire Alarm at La Junta Strip Mall on Conley Rd

On Tuesday, May 6, 2025, the La Junta Fire Dept responded to a fire alarm that was activated at the strip mall located on Conley Rd.

Upon arrival, no smoke or fire was found. The door to the room with the main fire alarm panel had a deadbolt lock and no main key.

Fire Fighters used tools to gain entry while trying to cause as little damage as possible to the door.

They made entry and found water dripping onto the main fire alarm panel, causing the false alarm.
