Lamar Fire Department Quickly Extinguishes Vehicle Fire Near Memorial and Parkview

At approximately 0800 this morning Lamar Fire was toned to Memorial Dr and Parkview Dr for a vehicle on fire. Upon arrival the crews found a pickup with heavy smoke showing from the cab. The fire was located on the fire wall in the engine compartment.

The crews deployed a 1.75” front bumper line off Engine 5 and quickly extinguished the fire. The crews cleared the scene at approximately 0830. 

Units on the ticket were Engine 5, Engine 6, Med 2, and FRU 2.
