In Loving Memory of Raymond Arthur Allen, Sr. (Art)
Raymond Arthur Allen, Sr. (Art), 86, passed away in Pueblo on March 30, 2025. Born on September 6, 1938, in Crowley County to Raymond and Pearl Allen, Art was raised north of Fowler and graduated from Fowler High School in 1956.
Art, a lifelong farmer, took over the family farm west of Fowler in the 1970s, dedicating much of his life to agriculture. He was also a passionate and accomplished Professional Rodeo Cowboy competing in bareback and saddle bronc riding. His rodeo career took him across the country and beyond, including an overseas trip in the 1960s to Belgium.
On March 5, 1974, in Lamar, Colorado Art married Carol Stuckey Walker. Together, they built a life filled with family, hard work, and adventure.
Art is survived by his sons, Artie Allen and Greg Walker of Fowler, and his daughter, Pam (Glen) Fillmore of Pueblo. He also leaves behind his cherished grandchildren: Blair (Joey), Nicole, Colton, Scott (Yvette), Markis, and Justin (Izzy), as well as great-grandchildren: Harley, Raiden, Bellazay, Zevin, Evalee, Tate, Patrick, and Alila. He is also survived by his nephew, Bill Allen, along with numerous cousins and dear friends.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Carol, his parents, Raymond and Pearl Allen, his brother Harold, his sister Rita, and his son, Tony.
Celebration of Life held on Saturday, April 12th, 2025 11:00am at Cottonwood Links in Fowler, Colorado.
