Lamar Police Department Investigates Fatal Shooting, Arrests Suspect on Manslaughter Charges

Lamar Police Department PRESS RELEASE:

On 02/17/2025 at approximately 6:25pm Officers from the Lamar Police Department were dispatched to 906 S 8th Street for a shooting. Upon arrival, Officers found 2 individuals at the residence, Eric Flores DOB 03/28/1995 and Armando Hernandez Jr. DOB 09/24/1994.

Armando Hernandez Jr. was found deceased from an apparent gun shot wound. Eric Flores was taken to the Prowers County Jail and charged with manslaughter. Investigation is ongoing.

*All Parties Considered Innocent Until Proven Guilty in a Court of Law.
