Shirley Jean Davis, 84, of La Junta, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2025, at her La Junta home surrounded by her family. She was born on September 9, 1940, to Ella and Luther Sheldon in La Junta, CO.

She was married to Gerald Cummings in 1958 and had 2 daughters, Geri (Gary) Fagan and Amy (Rob) Anderson. Later in life she married Ozsie Glen Davis in 1976.

Shirley was kind, compassionate, loved animals and her family.

She is survived by her daughters, five grandchildren: Jimmy Wade, Dustin (Cassie) Wade, Kyle Fagan (Cyndi Rocha), Kimberly (Daniel) Gonzalez, and Jason (Renee) Fagan, seven great grandchildren: Mavrick Wade, Teagen and Talon Bustillos, Joanna and Lucas Fagan, Myla and Elijah Gonzalez. She was preceded in death by her parents, Ella and Luther Sheldon, husbands, Gerald Cummings and Oszie Glen Davis, and sister, Judy Sheldon.

At her request there are no services at this time. A Celebration of Life will be held for family and friends at a future date.
