Mary Francis Sandoval, 79, died July 8, 2024, in garden city KS. Mary was born Nov 10,1944 in las animas co to Beatrice (Casias) and Solomon Muniz. Mary was born into a big family of 8 siblings. Mary married Louis Sandoval on sept 3, 1965 at the St Mary’s church in Las animas Colorado.
Mary had a few jobs in garden city, working for towels and uniform, worked at a hotel and caretaking. Mary also enjoyed crocheting and quilt making with her sisters, but when she had her girls, she loved them the most. They had a fun life growing up, traveling to Europe while Louis was in the military to all over the countryside. life was never a dull moment, but Mary loved and cared for her girls.
Mary also enjoyed playing bingo, traveling to see her grandkids and her cooking was great. Mary loved all her grandkids coming over and playing together while living in Lamar. that made her the happiest Mary also loved her dog hopper, her birds that gave her joy, and her cat diamond.
Survivors include her four daughters. Rhonda (Anthony) Palomino, of Las Animas Co, Charlotte Sandoval, of Lamar, Co, Gwindy (Lupe) Hernandez of Garden City, KS and Teresa (Adrian Begerano) Guzman of Garden City, KS. Mary had 16 grandchildren 27 great grandchildren, with two more coming in the coming months.
Mary is preceded in death by her parents, Beatrice & Solomon Muniz, Sisters Rose, Catherine, Phillis, Florida, Teva, and Virgina. Her brothers Albert and Solomon Jr. Her grandson Jonathan Fernandez.
A Memorial Service will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. Family suggests memorials be made to Mary Sandoval Memorial Fund in care of Garnand Funeral Home. Condolences may be posted at www.garnandfuneralgomes.com
