Obituary
Judy F. Martinez, 75, passed away April 14, 2024 at her La Junta home. She was born June 30, 1948 in Rocky Ford, CO to Willard & Amelia (Eckhart) Hoke. She was married to Brigido “Bee” Martinez; he preceded her in death on Jan. 1, 2012.
Judy worked at JC Penney and Gibsons for many years. She will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
She is survived by her daughter, Vickie (Filbert) DeHerrera, Jr of La Junta; grandchildren, Jennifer DeHerrera & Dwane of La Junta, and Filbert DeHerrera, III of Denver, CO; great-grandchildren, Alexia & Zierra of La Junta, and Aaleah &Vance of Denver; niece, Sheri (Trey) Mundell of Manzanola; nephew, Duane (Kim) Houston of Denver; great-niece, Sara and great-nephew Russell of Denver. Se was preceded in death by her husband, Bee, her parents, Willard & Amelia Hoke, and her sister, Ellen.
Funeral services will be Friday, April 19, 2024, at 10:00 a.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel in La Junta. Visitation will be Thursday, April 18, 2024, from 5:00 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at Peacock Memorial Chapel. Interment will follow the funeral ceremony at Calvary Cemetery in La Junta.
