A Traditional St. Patrick's Day Corned Beef Recipe

Description: With St. Patrick's Day coming up on Sunday... We are sharing a traditional corned beef recipe.

Corned Beef Recipe:

Take your package of corned beef and dump it in a large pot... Juice and all. Remove spice packet and rinse the packet off. Pour contents of spice packet into a tea ball or wrap securely in a piece of a T-shirt or cheese cloth and tie shut. Put spices into pot. Cover corned beef and spices with cold water. Place on stove and bring to a boil uncovered. Reduce heat, cover and simmer for 50 minutes per pound.

When your meat is done... Remove from water... But save water for boiling veggies, and you may need some for your meat. Place brisket on a glass pan fatty side up. Generously cover meat with brown sugar mixed with a little bit of dry mustard and pack down slightly. Drizzle a little bit of the water over brown sugar if you don't have very much fat. Bake in a preheated oven at 350° for about 30 minutes. Slice thinly across the grain of the meat and serve!!!

Have a Happy St. Patrick's Day and Enjoy this meal, especially with cabbage, on any occasion.
