In order to ensure everyone's safe travel before dusk, please note that all Otero County offices will be closing at 3 pm today.
Due to expected inclement weather, Prowers County offices will operate on a delayed start tomorrow morning, Monday January 8th, 2024. County offices will open at 12:00 pm.

Rocky Ford School District is canceling school for today, Jan. 8. There is no heat in the building at Jefferson School due to a boiler issue. With the addition of today's severe weather, all three schools in Rocky Ford will be closed today.

The City of Lamar has sent most non-essential employees home for the day, as a blizzard warning is in effect until 5:00 a.m. Tuesday morning. There will be no Lamar Redevelopment Authority meeting or Lamar City Council work session or regular meetings this evening. The Lamar Community Building and Public Library are closed today, and the landfill is not open.
