Swink Lions Football Roaring Finish to '22 Season

The Swink Lions Football team finished their season (7 - 3) with a defeat by the Mancos Bluejays 46-22.

The lions season was highlighted with success through the leadership of Coach Danny Hiltz and staff and Quarterback Hunter Bauserman.

Swink Junior Hunter Bauserman was named Santa Fe League Player of the League and Quarter Back of the League for 2022 with 1473 passing yards and 423 rushing yards, according to Mile High Prep.

Coach Dan Hiltz was named coach of the league for the Santa Fe League 8-Man Football by Mile High Prep. Hiltz has coached the Lions for 26 years.

Swink Junior Hunter Reynolds named Wide Receiver of the League for 8-Man Santa Fe League, according to Mile High Prep. 

Swink Ben Minor rushes through the line during an early season game hosting McClave. Minor had 1300 rushing yards, 414 receiving yards and scored 20 season touchdowns.

Swink Junior Garlon Guerin had 18 touchdowns this season and had over a thousand receiving yards.

Senior Garlon Guerin was named Running Back of the League for 8-Man League 7 according to Mile High Preps.

 

 

 

 

 

 

Swink Senior Ben Minor was named defensive team of year along with seniors Cody Lockhart and Jace Hall.
