The second fatal crash in Pueblo County occurred at approximately 11:21 p.m. on Highway 165 at milepost 36.

9:50 p.m. Incident
The Colorado State Patrol responded to a crash involving a pedestrian and a Chevrolet Trax on eastbound Highway 50 at milepost 312.

The 46-year-old male pedestrian was pronounced dead on scene. The Pueblo County Coroner will release the deceased's identity once the next of kin is notified.

Preliminary reports indicate that the pedestrian was crossing Colorado 50 southbound. The Chevrolet was traveling eastbound. The driver of the Chevrolet began to brake to avoid a collision, and the Chevrolet's front struck the pedestrian.

11:21 p.m. Incident
The Colorado State Patrol responded to a single-vehicle crash on Highway 165 at milepost 36.

The driver, a 36-year-old female, was pronounced dead on scene. The Pueblo County Coroner will release the deceased's identity once the next of kin has been notified.

Preliminary reports indicate that a Subaru Impreza Outback was eastbound on Highway 165 towards Interstate 25, at milepost 36. The Subaru failed to negotiate the right-hand curve, traveled across oncoming traffic, and drove off the left shoulder. The driver of the Subaru then corrected to the right and collided with a split rail fence. The Subaru continued to rotate, then rolled over several times. The driver was ejected from the Subaru during the rollover.

The Colorado State Patrol Vehicular Crimes Unit is leading both crash investigations, with no cause determined at this time.
