Rocky Ford Community Rallies to Help Elsie Maes Find Kidney Donor and Transplant Support
Description: Family and friends of longtime Rocky Ford resident Elsie Maes are raising funds through Help Hope Live to help cover uninsured kidney transplant expenses and seek a living donor.
A prominent member of our community needs our help. Former long-time owner of Rocky Ford Auto Parts, and lifetime member of St. Peters Catholic Church in Rocky Ford, Elsie Maes is needing a kidney. As some of you know, this process is long and difficult. She has been searching for a living donor and awaiting a deceased donor for years now, and as she moves up the list, she needs our help.
Family and friends of Elsie are raising funds for a non-profit organization called Help Hope Live, to fund uninsured medical expenses associated with a transplant. Elsie has chosen this non-profit in part because donations are tax deductible for contributors, and funds will only be used to cover medical and related expenses.
