LJPD K9 Program Reinstated - Asking for Donations
LJPD has reinstated its canine program and would like to introduce a new canine officer, "Oden," and his handler, Corporal Carlos Triana.
Officer Oden and Corporal Triana are currently in training. Once training is completed, Officer Oden will be trained in drug detection and tracking.
Donations primarily fund the La Junta Police Department Canine program.
The city of La Junta provides Corporal Triana's salary and patrol car, and we rely on donations for Officer Oden's health care, food and equipment.
