Karen Louise Marconi of Montrose passed away at Memorial Hospital in Colorado Springs on Sunday, January 23rd, 2022 at the age of 72.  Karen was born in Rocky Ford Colorado to Wayne and Dorothy Ratliff.  She grew up in Rocky Ford and graduated from college at the University of Northern Colorado.  Karen owned her own travel agency called the House of Travel located in Colorado Springs.  Being a travel agent, she loved to travel.  Karen and Dennis traveled all over the world.  She especially loved to go to Italy.  Karen and Dennis loved camping and traveled throughout the United States in their motor home. Karen loved her family and enjoyed spending time with them.  In 2018 Karen and Dennis took the whole family to Italy for 14 days. Karen’s hobbies were gardening, canning and genealogy.  She had a love for animals especially horses and dogs.

Karen is survived by her husband of 32 years, Dennis J. Marconi: 1 dog Annie Marconi: 1 daughter Kristie A. Leslie (Tim) of Fontana, CA: 3 granddaughters Marlayna A. Tinoco (Saul) of Rancho Cucamonga, CA, Taylor A Leslie of Grants Pass, OR and Brooke A. Leslie of Fontana, CA.

Visitation will be held on Saturday, January 29th at 10:00 A.M. at Bellwood Ford Ustick Funeral Home followed by a funeral service at 10:30 A.M. with burial to follow at Hillcrest Cemetery in Rocky Ford.
