Description: Colorado State Patrol released Information regarding a search for parties involved in a single vehicle crash in Las Animas County.

"CSP Troopers responded to a single vehicle 2013 Toyota minivan crash at 2020 hours 1/25/22 on Highway 350, mm 35 in Las Animas County. Four parties were transported, three with serious injuries."

"The vehicle had additional but an unknown number of occupants. A search in the area indicated multiple parties left the scene but were not located despite hours of looking."

"At approximately 1002 hours on 1/26/22 a teenage juvenile male party was located near H350 mm 39 with injuries consistent with a crash. He was/is being cared for and in contact with family in another state."

"Based on evidence it is believe multiple parties from the vehicle are still missing and possibly injured. A search is actively underway lead by the Otero Sheriffs Office with assistance from CSP and multiple agencies."

"It is unknown the number of missing occupants, extent of any injuries, or if they have been transported by anyone else. The search is to render aid and offer assistance as needed. Anyone with information is requested to contact Otero Sheriffs Office."

SECO News spoke with the Colorado State Patrol regarding the incident and they reported that the Otero County Sheriff's Office was the lead agency investigating and that they searched last night until midnight and resumed the search in the early morning hours Wednesday. As of 4:55 pm Wednesday afternoon the search had been called off and the scene was clear, according to the Colorado State Patrol Trooper working the case.
